Blizzard says Diablo 2 Resurrected will take advantage of PS5 DualSense attributes like haptic feedback.
As UnGeek reports, Blizzard's Robert Gallerani and Maxine Virtue comprehensive the studio's plans for Diablo 2 Resurrected DualSense support through a press roundtable in BlizzCon 2021. Though the developers didn't delve much into Diablo 2 Items particulars, Gallerani all but supported haptic feedback for the coming Diablo 2 remaster.
"We are still working on how we would like to utilize [the DualSense], but the haptic feedback on the controller is a very exciting thing, so we want to be sure we take advantage of that," Gallerani said.
The DualSense's haptic comments feature is basically an innovative rumble pack designed to boost immersion by replicating the atmosphere and ramifications of different surfaces and items. By way of instance, walking in a match should feel gritty, whilst firing off shotgun rounds should send spaced-out stimulation to your palms.
Gallerani also detailed a few of the ways Diablo 2 Resurrected is well suited for controller support more commonly, confirming the remaster will add a cursor function for gamepads.
"In the original game, the Sorceress' teleport works by clicking wherever you want. Wherever you click, then that's where you are teleporting to. When you're using the control, you don't have a cursor, so once you teleport with the Sorceress we have a default distance for your teleport - a few of the motions we do that. By way of example, a Blood Golem in the Necromancer will constantly spawn where you would like it to. Whereas some motions we actually permit you to Cheap Diablo 2 Resurrected Items hold a button down, and you then get a cursor."
